The Finnish Tibetan Association

The Finnish Tibetan Association is an organisation founded in 1971 to represent the Tibetan breeds in Finland. At present the only breed represented is the Tibetan Mastiff (Do Khyi). The Finnish Tibetan Association is a member of the Finnish Kennel Club and its purpose is to promote interest and the breeding of the Tibetan Mastiff.

In realising it's goals the association operates within the guidelines set by the Finnish Kennel Club regulations for breed organisations. The association practices information dissemination in order to make the breed known, gives guidance in breeding activities, organises counselling and training events, and publishes it's own newsletter. The association also organises shows and keeps contact with other breed organisations in Finland and abroad.
